In Her Own Words

Joining the Sitare Foundation was a turning point in my life. Having lived my entire life in a small village, in a family of poor farmers, I moved to the city and started going to an international school. I learnt things I never knew before. I started playing sports like squash, badminton, tennis and basketball. My time at Sitare enriched not just my high school years but also turned my future aspirations around. I am overjoyed that I am applying for college admission in the United States. My entire family is very proud of me. Even people in my community who opposed my education every step of the way feel proud that a poor girl from their village will achieve things, no one in the village had ever dreamt of. I look forward to my journey ahead and am grateful for this golden opportunity.
